New Audio System and Projection Installation
Description
The owner had purchased an estate property formerly in use as a private graduate school and research facility, including a 1950’s-era auditorium building.
An integral part of the project was converting the auditorium space into a grand ballroom. This called for a tasteful integration of a professional AV system. The client requested a simple AV solution, consisting of a podium microphone and two wireless units, one handheld and one lavaliere for presentation purposes.
Additionally, the scope of the work included installation of a ceiling mounted 3000 lumens LCD projector to be used with a 12 by 16 foot wall-mounted screen, for both laptop or DVD presentations. A very discreet and removable podium microphone, was installed in an ornate antique lectern with a dedicated microphone jack in its base so it could be used with or without the sound system.
Two compact, but powerful main speakers, were installed for full-range sound to cover audio needs, which will range from spoken word, to movies, to live or recorded music. A digital processor was set to eliminate the risk of feedback and to acoustically tune and optimize the sound to the room.
